Review – Trumpeter Jeff Elliott shows off his eclectic songwriting style throughout his album “Different Jungles.” Imagine if you ail a more manic Miles Davis who set about to craft a jazz fusion album with rapid time signature changes. There’s a bit of prig-rock deftly carved into a bunch of the songs almost wildly challenging you to continue to listen. And you will be a captive audience for much of the album which blindly ignores some of the traditions of jazz for a more maniacal approach.
